In partnership with the other Cumbrian Local Authorities we have commissioned a Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA).

The GTAA provides a credible evidence base which can be used to aid the preparation and implementation of Local Plan Policies and the provision of new Gypsy and Traveller pitches and Travelling Showpeople plots. The assessment covers all districts and national parks within Cumbria.

Opinion Research Services has assessed the accommodation needs of the Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople population following Government policy.
