Authority Monitoring Report
Monitoring and review are important in ensuring the effectiveness of the planning system. As a result, we produce an Authority Monitoring Report (previously known as Annual Monitoring Report) by the end of December each year, which is a statutory requirement for all Local Authorities.
We have prepared our Authorities Monitoring Report (AMR) for 2021 to 2022 which sets out to:
- Review actual progress of local development document preparation against the timetable and milestones in the Local Development Scheme (LDS).
- Identify whether we need to amend or replace policies.
- Review progress against many indicators, covering the economy, environment and social issues relevant to the district, and the implications of this for the Local Development Framework.
- Comply with Section 35 of the 2004 Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act, which emphasises the need for monitoring in the Local Development Framework.
