An accessible Museum for all
We aim to provide facilities accessible to all.
The ground floor of Penrith and Eden Museum is accessible for wheelchairs and buggies; there is a level access point to the building from Middlegate.
However, there is no access to the upper floor, there is an illustrated and descriptive printed guide to the 'Ages of Eden' geology display located on that floor.
Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
A hearing induction loop is installed in the galleries.
We have large print guides for our galleries.
Seats are available in all of our galleries.
The Museum also has an extensive handling collection for use with group visits and outreach. Tactile resources are available as part of our handling sessions, or on prior request.
