There is an urgent need to agree this update so as to enable the application process to start as soon as possible in order that:

  • Funding reaches those business in severe need as soon as possible to address the hardship experienced in December 2021 as a result of the increase restrictions announced by Government,

  • All funding is spent and reconciled by 31 March 2022 as required by Government ARG Guidance.
