Data protection
This page is currently under review and will be updated in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
We maintain a formal registration under the Data Protection Acts 1998 that permits us to hold and process personal data. Data provided through this website may be used for any of our statutory purposes. For further information, view our Data Protection Policy.
Who do we share information with?
We may share information with a variety of services, depending on the original purpose for which it was obtained, and the use to which it is to be put. Examples include sharing with the County Council, NHS and central Government departments. It may also be shared, where necessary, with other organisations that provide services on our behalf, such as contractors working for us. In all of these examples, the information provided is only the minimum necessary to enable them to provide services to you.
Personal information about you may be provided to Government departments, where we are required to do so by law, or to other local councils. An example would be when you have moved from one Council's area to another, and the new Council requires confirmation of the services you were receiving.
Information about you may also be provided for statistical research. This will not include your name and address, unless you have given us permission to provide the information.
Information provided to us that is not needed to provide a Council service is not shared.
