General Election 2010 - Penrith and the Border Constituency
Registering to Vote, Proxy and Postal Votes
A General Election has been called for 6 May 2010. A Notice of Election for the Penrith and Borders Consistency has been published and a Statement of Persons Nominated to contest the parliamentary seat will be published on the Democracy section of Eden District Council’s website in due course.
Registering to Vote
Full details about the Electoral Register and ways of being included on the Register can be found at www.eden.gov.uk under the Democracy pages. Any person who wishes to be included on the Register for the forthcoming General Election needs to submit their application for inclusion on the Register by no later than 20 April 2010.
Postal and Proxy Voting
Electors who wish to vote by post or proxy need to apply in writing and must provide their date of birth and a specimen of their signature. Application forms can be obtained from Eden District Council tel: 01768 817817 or email: elections@eden.gov.uk

Anyone who wishes to apply for a Postal Vote for the election on 6 May 2010 must submit their completed application form by not later than 5pm on 20 April 2010.

Anyone who wishes to apply for a Proxy Vote for the election on 6th May 2010 must submit their completed application form by not later than 5pm on 27 April 2010.
