Planning
Planning looks after all planning applications and enquiries received by the Council. They look into any planning problems and unauthorised development that may lead to enforcement action. They also run the biennial Eden Design Awards to acknowledge outstanding architecture in Eden.
Building Control
Building control ensures that buildings are properly designed and constructed to guarantee the health, safety, welfare and convenience of the people using them. They cover all aspects of construction, including foundations, damp proofing, insulation, fire protection and means of escape in case of fire.
Land Charges
Land Charges deals with restrictions and obligations which exist on areas of land.
Street Naming and Numbering
